This is a simple design of a wine opener - a corkscrew by Anna G. of the italian design company Alessi. I like this design because of the clever use of the shape of a corkscrew - it puts in personality into everyday mundane stuff, and brings fun into life. It's very amusing thing to look at every time.
On/Off Coffee Mug
This is a thermo-sensitive coffee mug. It's coated with a heat-sensitive pigment, which will turn white to reveal ON letter on the mug when filled with hot coffee or water . So it can warn me to not burn my lips with hot coffee. I like product that amuses life but is functional at the same time.
StairCASE: Storing & Shelving Unit by Danny Kuo
I like the thoughtfulness of the design of this product. This is a storing and shelving unit designed with it's user in mind - someone who lives in a compact environment with a similarly compact buget. This product has a very simple, rough but functional look. It's purpose is for maximum usage of space. The StairCASE efficiently utilizes the vertical space, but conveniently providing stair by hand to reach the top.
Sensix Allergy Alter System
This gadget is designed for people - babies, children, adult - with high allergy sensitivity. Designed for 3 different age groups, it alters medicals and caregiver of the wearer's situation. This is a practical application of high-end technology. I like it's thought on fashion appropriateness of the design for different age group.
Six Sense Technology - MIT
This is the latest innovation from MIT. This technology takes the computer away from the desk, and immerse into the user's environment. You can take photos with your fingers instead of camera; check flight time without taking out your laptop or iphone. This design is a huge step toward ubiquitous design, of emerging the computer technology into our life less clumsily.
